Donor Egg Program - For Recipients

The evaluation of the potential recipient couples involve the fundamental principles of suitable selection by :

  • Appropriate medical indication for egg donation

  • The ascertainment of the woman’s ability to safely tolerate pregnancy, labor and delivery.

  • The psychological well being of the resultant child(ren).

Becoming a recipient of donated eggs is becoming more popular in peri-menopausal women who are still cycling but suffer from age related infertility. Women with multiple previous failures of other assisted reproductive technologies, with genetic causes for multiple spontaneous abortions, or unwilling to risk passing undesirable genetic traits on their offspring also utilize egg donation.

With the heightened acceptance of egg donation in the United States, we at Overlake Reproductive Health established an Egg Donor Program for our patients. This allowed our patients to have a pool of pre-screened donors available at anytime, without a waiting period. We have enough donors that donor sharing is not an issue at our center, as it is at many centers. Our patients have the freedom to choose a donor more closely matching their own physical and ethnic backgrounds.

We are pleased to offer an online database of all our current donors. The database contains an abbreviated profile that is viewable by anyone, and more detailed profiles are available to our current patients. Check back often as we will be adding childhood pictures soon, and we are screening new donors all the time.

For more detailed information, or other questions about the donors or our egg donor program, in general, please call our Donor Egg Program Coordinator.

Our goal is to help you build a family.
